I CANNOT WAIT. I am definitely going to this. Well, actually, I have to go because I will be hosting it. But I LOVE that it's all ages and I hope hope we can PACK the place. With girls who love thinking and partying and talking and feminism (even if they don't know it yet). And girls who love Journey. Especially girls who love Journey
I'm enthused about how empowering and festive the night will be with music, comedy, inspiring speakers and best of all, the amazing company! It will be a progressive and fun-filled evening. How can anyone object?
Sounds amazing! I always knew that Journey could be a source of empowerment. So glad to finally see my dreams come true. I can't wait to hang out with all of the cool ladies I know (and those I haven't met yet), get inspired, and have the most fun!
Now that Lindsay's sober, Britney's changing diapers and Paris's eyes are brown again - who needs Hyde? Feminism is alive and well and living between my legs... the legs that will be taking me to LADYPARTY, so I can hear the truth and dance my ass off. Don't stop believin' y'all.
Argh! I wish I could come to this fab event, but I have tickets to another event that night. Have fun, and I'll definitely be linking this cool blog to mine.
Of course I'm looking forward to meeting more of my fellow (seems like the wrong word) feministas, but I have to admit I'm curious to see who of the male persuasion shows up. It will be a banner evening for all, but you gotta admit it takes a certain kind of fella to attend something called "Lady Party."
Reporting from the NOW convention in Detroit... Lindsey and I are meeting all kinds of really cool women and girls who want to do OBJECT stuff in their towns and colleges... I met a chick named Renee who lives in DC who is helping design alternatives to the abstinence-only sex ed for high schools, a woman named Lauren from Brooklyn who teaches young women about healthy sexuality, Andrea from Albequerque and Cynthia from NYC who work with high school girls making their own media, Ariel who lives in LA and is going to come and sell her cool stuff at Lady Party, including THIS INSULTS WOMEN stickers you can put up on ads you hate. It's really inspiring to meet all of these women- mostly betwen 20 and 30 I think-- who are total new feminist heroes. Can't WAIT for Valenti to get here and to have our party Tuesday night-- I've heard from TONS of women who are coming
Hey there, I wish I could have gone to this party. I live in detroit, mi. I actually introduced myself to jill at the now conference last weekend. (Thankeeewww) ;-) Will you guys ever have national lady party tours that may stop by detroit??? :) Cause that would be sweeeeet! In the meantime, maybe someone could post some party planning suggestions, guidelines, activities that I could use to throw my own? Like a "how to throw your own lady party" section on the site?
So, we're planning the next Lady Party for September 11th, more info coming any day now...
and we're meeting THIS WEEK to figure out how to make this site more interactive and have more threads here or wherever... stand by and for now please send your ideas to this comments section...

Who designed the poster for the event? It's great.

Jill, your speech today was terrific! If only I didn't live in the vortex of evil (DC) I'd join the fun!
